2010 Contribution to the Profession

Ron Rolett began his career in 1977 at the North Little Rock Boys Club in Arkansas where he had been a member and a delegate to the first National Keystone Conference. After working as Director of Teen Programs and Education he was promoted to Unit Director of the Jacksonville Club.

He became Executive Director of the Carlsbad Boys & Girls Club in New Mexico in February of 1985. February of 1990 he took over as President and CPO of what was then the Bryan Boys Club and now is the Boys & Girls Clubs of Brazos Valley. When Ron arrived in Bryan the Club had a membership of 290 boys. Today the Clubs in Bryan and College Station have a membership of over 2000 girls and boys.

May of 2008 Ron was recognized by Boys & Girls Clubs of America Professional Association with the Distinguished Executive Award.

He was first elected to the National Board of the Boys & Girls Club Workers association in 1987 and has served as its chairman for the last seven years.
